Economic Development 

Chair Stephen Whipp - this committee is working on a potential branding exercise for the region and local issues of relevance to Tourism and Economic Development for the WestShore.

Events 

This committee oversees a number of events that take place in the annual Chamber calendar, including the Awards of Excellence and the Gala and auction.

Professional Development 

Chair Pedro Marquez - this committee works to create professional development opportunities for business members.

Climate Action WestShore

Chair Cindy Moyer - a new initiative for members to find simple and practical ways to learn more about global warming and be part of the solution. Planning a month long community festival for 2008 titled "The Emily Carr Eco-Cultural Festival".

Membership

Chair Corinne Thompson- this committee creates strategies to increase Chamber membership and enhance membership value.

Fire Truck Parade

Chair Paul Arsenault - the fire truck parade takes place annually in December, and invites all the WestShore and Victoria fire departments to "light up" their trucks with Christmas decorations and lights. The entries are judged and winners are awarded prizes. A fun event for the whole family.
