Economic Development 

Chair Stephen Whipp - this committee is working on a potential branding exercise for the region and local issues of relevance to Tourism and Economic Development for the WestShore.

Events 

Chair Keray Stott - this committee oversees a number of events that take place in the annual Chamber calendar, including the Awards of Excellence in the Spring and the Black-Tie Gala and Auction in the Winter.

Professional Development 

Chair Pedro Marquez - this committee works to create professional development opportunities for business members.

WestShore Healthy Communities Initiative Climate Action WestShore

This committee has grown from the award-winning Climate Action West Shore that previous director Cindy Moyer spearheaded in previous years. The first branded project of this committee is The Hive. The Hive is located on the ground floor level of the WestShore Chamber building and is a great new destination where locals and visitors alike can deligh in discouvering and celebrating West Shore community, culture and commerce! Fire Truck Parade

Chair Steve Howe - the annual Fire Truck Parade takes place annually in December, and invites all the island fire departments to "light up" their trucks with Christmas decorations and lights. The entries are judged and winners are awarded prizes. A fun event for the whole family. This is also in conjunction with Christmas in City Centre Park. This year's event is being held on Sunday, December 20th, 2011. Please contact the Chamber for information.
